Office of the United Nations Famine Prevention and Response Coordinator
Building a famine-free future
We are facing a global hunger crisis, driven by conflict, climate change, and economic shocks. Across the world, millions of people don’t know where their next meal will come from.
We have enough resources in the world to eradicate hunger. There is no reason children should die of hunger in the 21st century. Together, we can, and we must do better.
Together we must fight famine: by responding to the emergency levels of hunger experienced by millions of people around the world, and by preventing future food crises and tackling the root causes of food insecurity.
Join us as we work towards a famine-free future.
